Just a thought about the war

September 11, 2001 was a sad day for America, and it continues to stir strong emotions among many of us... It was truly a day of tradgedy.

Our president, George Bush, made a decision to not allow such a violent act to go unpunished, and most Americans agreed. We were angry! We were hurting! We were scared! We wanted revenge... No, not everyone, but many were ready to unleash the rath of America upon their heads.

Weapons of mass destruction, oil, Sadam, or just pure pay-back... Everyone had their own reasoning, but did it really matter what excuse we used?

Maybe, there weren't any weapons of mass destruction. Do you really believe that a man such as Sadam didn't have this type of potential? Do you really think that American informants were just fibbing about these weapons? I don't know. I'm just asking.

As for all the other many excuses to be in this war, just pick one. That's what most people do, whether they're educated in this area or not. Just pretend to be an expert on the war. Isn't that what a lot of people are doing?

My point is, our troops are there now. When they entered the military, they were aware that war was a possibility. They made a decision to be a part of the military, just like we did to not enter the military.

My prayers are with our soldiers each day. My heart breaks for them continually. They are doing what I am too afraid/selfish to do. The word "hero" does not do them justice...

However, what now? If our soldiers stay there, more will die. That's a fact. If they all come home, the result is unknown. Will it be a better world if our troops come home? Will we be safe? What will it mean for the next generation? Have we opened a box that we cannot close? Is this the beginning of the end that so many religious people talk about?

The bigger question is, does anyone really know what the truth is? Does our president really know? Would it help if he admitted that he to is unsure of the answers, or would it cause mass chaos? Was he right? Was he wrong? Who knows!

Let's not be like the politicians and say what needs to be done, without also offering an intelligent solution. Let's not fall for the politicians who cannot tell us the details of their solution.

What would you do if someone called you on the phone and asked you to go to Mexico with them, all expenses paid?

Well, what if that person kept calling you by another woman's name throughout the entire conversation?

What if the other woman was your mother?

Yep! It really happened...

A man, whom I will not name, called me up and was having a fairly normal conversation with me. Somewhere along the way, he switched from calling me by my name to calling me by my mother's name. I corrected him, but he would not stop!

I quickly ended the conversation...

Of course, I didn't go! I would love to go to Mexico, with my HUSBAND, but never with a psycho!

I'm telling you, there are some weirdos in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You Know Someone's Crazy If...

From day-to-day, I run into some weird people. Sometimes, I am amazed at the strange things that people say and do. I often question their sanity, so I've made my own checklist based on real contacts with some very odd individuals...

This list is not in any certain order. It's only my opinion, and just in case you didn't know, should not be used as a tool for diagnosing mental illnesses:)

If you say yes to 5 or more of the following statements, then craziness is likely...

~Do they continually tell you that they are NOT crazy. (A little paranoid)?

~Do they call themselves Jehovah? There might be a problem!

~Do they talk about their therapist as if he/she is a life-long friend?

~Do they think that the world is out to get them? (As if they are so important that they'd rank above everyone else on the "We're Gonna Getcha" list!

~Do they think that others are using them for their money? Well, that might be true, unless they DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!

~Do they put you in a headlock everytime you walk up behind them? (Gotta admit, that's a little weird).

~Do they say that they have lived for more than 200 years? (C.R.A.Z.Y.)!

~Do they go on periodic trips to a secret place? It could be a vacation, or it could be an institution.

~Do they get defensive when people smile at them, because they say smiling is a sign of aggression? (What the heck would laughing be)?

~Does their life closely resemble that of your favorite actor/actress? (Maybe this person needs to get a life)!

~This is my favorite... Do they think it's okay for their dog to drag its butt across someone elses carpet, but they say it's not acceptable for a child to touch the dog with candy on their hands? (Come on! I'd rather have someone wipe candy on me anytime. It beats stepping on your dog's butt germs)!
